Is Inventoros really free?
Yes. Inventoros is open source under the MIT license and free forever. You self-host it, so there are no per-seat fees and no usage limits.
Where can I host it?
Anywhere you can run a Laravel application. The docs include step-by-step guides for cPanel, a VPS, and Docker.
What are the system requirements?
A PHP 8 environment with a supported database, plus roughly 2GB of RAM and 10GB of disk to start. See the installation guides for specifics.
Does Inventoros have an API?
Yes. There is a complete REST API and a GraphQL API, plus webhooks for real-time events and an MCP server so AI assistants can work with your inventory.
Can I extend or customize it?
Inventoros has a plugin architecture, and you can install first-party and community plugins from the marketplace or build your own.
Who owns my data?
You do. Because Inventoros is self-hosted, your inventory data stays on infrastructure you control.
Does it support multiple locations?
Yes. You can track per-location quantities, transfer stock between locations, and keep one accurate count across all of them.
How do I get help?
Start with the documentation, then open a GitHub issue or a discussion. The community and maintainers are active there.
How often is Inventoros updated?
Releases ship regularly. You can follow every version and what changed on the changelog page.
